Herbstgarteln & Eröffnung der ständigen Saatgut-Tauschbörse!
Ein gemütlicher Abend rund um den Garten mit regionalen Biogärtnerinnen/-bäuerinnen und Infos zu Gartenarbeiten im Herbst und Winter. Büchertische zu den Themen „Garten“, „Nachhaltigkeit“, „Umweltschutz“. Flohmarkt und Gewinnspiel. Bio-vegetarisches Buffet und steirisches Popcorn.
Infos zur Saatgut-Tauschbörse: Die Vielfalt an Saatgut unterstützen, erhalten und verfügbar machen und dazu beitragen, ein gesundes Bewusstsein für Lebensmittel zu schaffen. Alle sind eingeladen mitzumachen und können eigenes samenfestes Saatgut bringen und in gleicher Menge tauschen. Die Saatgut-Tauschbörse ist ab dem 28.09.2021 zu den Öffnungszeiten der Stadtbücherei zugänglich.
Wir freuen uns auf die wachsende Vielfalt in unserer Bibliothek und sind gespannt auf regionale Schätze, die eventuell von Großeltern weitergegeben wurden und auf tolle Sorten, die vielleicht in Vergessenheit gerieten. Es kann sich dabei um Gemüse, Obst, Kräuter und Blumen handeln. Denn laut Schätzungen der Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations sind weltweit mittlerweile 75% der Kulturpflanzen aus dem Anbau verschwunden und von hochgezüchteten und/oder genmanipuliertem Saatgut verdrängt worden.
Setzen wir gemeinsam ein Zeichen für mehr Vielfalt!

Gardening in autumn & Opening of the seed exchange-place We share a cozy evening with an organic gardener and farmer, enjoy their products and get plenty of helpful information about the garden and vegetables for the winter season. The library offers a huge variety of books about gardening, sustainability, environmental protection. There will be a fleamarket and a contest too. We offer you a little buffet of organic vegetarian regional food. Information for exchanging seeds: People can bring their own harvested seeds (no hybrids and F1!) and exchange it here. We want to save the variety of seeds and to make it available. Because as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations says almost 75% of all crops disappeared already and were replaced by highly bred or genetically modified seeds. With our seed-exchange-base we hope to create an awareness for healthy food and all the good old vegetables and plants.
