Frauen*solidarität - feministisch-entwicklungspolitische Bildungsarbeit

Die Frauen*solidarität leistet seit nahezu 40 Jahren Informations-, Bildungs- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit zu Frauen weltweit sowie zu globalen Machtverhältnissen aus feministischer Sicht. Als entwicklungspolitische Organisation steht sie im Dialog mit Frauenbewegungen aus dem globalen Süden und stärkt durch Vernetzung solidarisches Handeln. Sie trägt mit ihrer Arbeit zur Durchsetzung von Frauenrechten bei und engagiert sich für eine Welt frei von Sexismus, Rassismus und Homophobie. Die Frauen*solidarität betreibt gemeinsam mit zwei anderen Organisationen die C3-Bibliothek für Internationale Entwicklung, publiziert viermal jährlich ein Magazin in dem das Nord-Süd-Verhältnis aus feministischer Sicht reflektiert wird - und nimmt als Plattform für Stimmen von globalen/ internationalen Frauenbewegungen einen wichtigen Stellenwert im Informations- und Wissenstransfer ein. Weiters organisiert die Frauen*solidarität Medienworkshops und Veranstaltungen, die für die Öffentlichkeit frei zugänglich sind.

Women’s Solidarity participates in informational, educational and outreach work concerning women worldwide, as well as to global power relations from a feminist point of view. As a developmental policy organisation, it is in dialogue with women’s movements in the Global South and thereby empowers women and strengthens the networking of solidarity. The organisation contributes to the establishment and enforcement of women’s rights and is committed to a world free of sexism, racism and homophobia. Women’s Solidarity publishes a quarterly magazine of the same name that reflects on the relations between the Global North and South from a feminist point of view. In cooperation with two other organisations Women's Solidarity runs the C3-Library for International Develeopment. Other Women’s Solidarity activities include the organisation of events, such as lectures and panel discussions, exhibitions, film screenings, book presentations and readings.
