„Wunderbar naturnah!“ - Burgenland BeeFit
Der Verein UNSER DORF ruft auf zu mehr Artenvielfalt in Burgenlands Gemeinden und Dörfern. Es heißt: Mitgestalten, um unser Zukunft Burgenland „BeeFit“ zu machen! Natur- und Klimaschutz spielt in den Gemeinden eine immer wichtigere Rolle.
„Aktiver Naturschutz und der Erhalt der Biodiversität im Burgenland betrifft jede Gemeinde und muss sich über unsere Schutzgebiete hinaus erstrecken. Es braucht einen ganzheitlichen Ansatz, der über den Status ‚glyphosatfrei‘ hinausgeht. Mit dem Naturschutzprojekt ‚Burgenland BeeFit‘ wollen wir in den burgenländischen Gemeinden ein Zeichen für den Erhalt der Artenvielfalt setzen“, erklärte Obfrau des Vereins UNSER DORF und Naturschutzreferentin LH-Stv. Astrid Eisenkopf.
Der Verein "Unser Dorf" als neue Biodiversitätsplattform des Landes unterstützt und berät die Gemeinden dabei. Erfüllt eine Gemeinde bestimmte Kriterien, kann sie sich als „wunderbar naturnah“-Gemeinde auszeichnen lassen.
Verkehrsflächen in Gemeinden als wichtige Lebensräume von Insekten und Mikro-Ökosystemen
Die Tatsache, dass 80 % aller Pflanzen und fast 70 % aller Nahrungspflanzen von Insekten bestäubt werden, macht die große Bedeutung der Nützlinge und damit die Wichtigkeit ihres Schutzes deutlich. Auch Verkehrsflächen in Gemeinden dürfen aufgrund der zunehmenden Versiegelung der Landschaft als wichtige Lebensräume von Insekten und Mikro-Ökosystemen nicht mehr außer Acht gelassen werden. Das Projekt ‚Burgenland beefit‘ soll landesweit einen positiven Einfluss auf den Erhalt der Artenvielfalt haben und durch aktive Informationsarbeit sowie bewusste Öffentlichkeitsarbeit Gemeinden und die Bevölkerung für die Themen Artenvielfalt, Wildbienen, Insekten und Lebensräume sensibilisieren und auch aktivieren.
Mehr Mut zur Unordnung
Verkehrsflächen sind zwar meist nur schmale Streifen entlang der Straßen, Wege und Gehsteige, eignen sich aber aufgrund ihrer durch das ganze Land laufenden linearen Strukturen hervorragend, um die Lebensräume der Nützlinge miteinander zu verbinden und so eine Verbreitung der Nützlinge gewährleisten zu können. Der Verein UNSER DORF motiviert die Gemeinden daher zu mehr Mut zur Unordnung für mehr Biodiversität in der Gemeinde. Adrett aussehende, perfekt gepflegte Grünflächen sind für Lebewesen toter, wertloser Lebensraum und aus biologischer Sicht leider leere Wüsten.
Auszeichnung „beefit“ für Maßnahmen zur Förderung von Biodiversität
Kern des Projekts ist es, dass sich Gemeinden, wenn sie bestimmte Kriterien erfüllen, als „beefit“ auszeichnen lassen können. Darunter fallen Kriterien wie z.B. der Verzicht auf Pestizide und auf chemisch synthetische Dünger sowie die Verwendung von torffreier Blumenerde, die Anlage von Blühflächen und Kleinlebensräumen wie Totholzhecken, Kleinbiotopen, wilder Ecken im Gemeindegarten, Vogelnistkästen, Streuobst- und Wildkräuterwiesen oder z.B. die naturnahe Gestaltung des Kinderspielplatzes im Dorf.

It says: Helping to shape our future Burgenland "BeeFit"! Nature and climate protection play an increasingly important role in communities. "Active nature conservation and the preservation of biodiversity in Burgenland affects every municipality and must extend beyond our protected areas. We need a holistic approach that goes beyond the status of 'glyphosate-free'. With the nature conservation project 'Burgenland BeeFit' we want to set a sign for the preservation of biodiversity in our communities," explained the head of the association UNSER DORF and nature conservation officer LH-Stv. If a municipality fulfill certain criteria, it can be distinguished as a "wonderfully close to nature" community. Traffic areas in communities as important habitats of insects and micro-ecosystems! The fact that 80% of all plants and almost 70% of all food crops are pollinated by insects demonstrates the importance of beneficial organisms and thus the importance of their protection. Also, due to the increasing sealing of the landscape as important habitats of insects and micro-ecosystems, traffic areas in communities must not be ignored. The project 'Burgenland beefit' is intended to have a positive impact on the conservation of biodiversity throughout the country and, through active information work and conscious public relations, to sensitize and activate communities and the population for the topics of biodiversity, wild bees, insects and habitats. More courage to mess up Although traffic areas are usually only narrow strips along the roads, paths and sidewalks, due to their linear structures running throughout the country, they are excellently suited to connect the habitats of the beneficial people and thus to ensure the spread of the beneficial ones. The association OUR DORF therefore motivates the communities to have more courage to create disorder for more biodiversity in the community. Adrett-looking, perfectly maintained green spaces are for living beings dead, worthless habitat and from a biological point of view unfortunately empty deserts.
