Ancient knowledge of medicinal herbs for all & sustainable herbal products
My idea or contribution has several ambitions: * It is about passing on old knowledge about our alpine medicinal herbs and thus ensuring that this old knowledge is not lost. In addition, the general population should be empowered to help themselves and to be able to help themselves even in times of crisis (e.g. how do I make a simple soap (topic "hygiene")? What can I do in case of minor wounds or a soar throat?,.) * On the other hand it is about using our alpine nature for the production of sustainable organic natural cosmetics or alpine herbal products. As a certified organic company, nature always comes first for me. This means that our alpine flora must be actively preserved (e.g. no massive fertilization of the meadows) in order to preserve biodiversity and thus guarantee sustainable products. - The focus is on the use of regional raw materials. If other products are used, sustainable, fairly traded products are always preferable in order not to support exploitation of the population of other countries. - In addition, sustainable packaging is used as much as possible - this means no repackaging for products that are sold; packaging in glass instead of plastic; search for other, truly sustainable packaging. - Another goal for the future is to keep jobs in the region - be it to enable women in the region to supply herbs flexibly, to manufacture products or support in administration, but also to support the long-term unemployed or disabled (e.g. by labelling products).
A little tip for all those whose throat is a little scratchy or who have to talk a lot: boil strong sage tea (chop 1 tablespoon of sage leaves into small pieces, put them into a tea mug, pour boiling water over it, let it steep covered for about 20 minutes and let it cool down covered, strain and add half a teaspoon of salt to the tea) and gargle it every hour or spray it into your throat with the help of a spray bottle :-)
