Begeben Sie sich auf eine spannende Exkursion in ein Biber-Revier! Erkunden Sie den Lebensraum des Bibers und erfahren Sie von der faszinierenden Lebensweise des „Ur-Tirolers“! Die Exkursion führt uns an die Vils, nahe ihrer Mündung in den Lech. Dort wurde das Gewässer im 1. LIFE-Projekt (2001-2007) wieder aufgeweitet und somit aus seinem engen „Korsett“ befreit. Vor einigen Jahren ist auch der Biber wieder dorthin zurückgekehrt – der letzte Biber in Tirol wurde nämlich 1813 an der Vils gefangen. Nun „perfektioniert“ er die vom Menschen begonnene Flussrevitalisierung – zu seinem eigenen Nutzen, aber auch zum Nutzen der dort lebenden Pflanzen und Tiere sowie der dort erholungssuchenden Menschen! Überzeugen Sie sich selbst!

Embark on an exciting excursion into a beaver territory! Explore the habitat of the beaver and learn about the fascinating way of life of the "original Tyrolean"! The excursion takes us to the Vils, near its mouth into the Lech. There the watercourse was widened again in the 1st LIFE project (2001-2007) and thus freed from its narrow "corset". A few years ago, the beaver also returned there - the last beaver in Tyrol was actually caught at the Vils in 1813. Now he "perfects" the river revitalization started by man - for his own benefit, but also for the benefit of the plants and animals living there as well as the people seeking recreation there! Convince yourself!
