Die Klimameilen-Kampagne weckt bei Kindern, Eltern und PädagogInnen die Freude an klimafreundlicher Mobilität. WAS ist eine Klimameile?
Eine "Klimameile" entspricht einem umweltfreundlich zurückgelegten Schul- oder Kindergartenweg. Für jeden Weg ohne Auto wird ein Aufkleber ins persönliche Sammelalbum geklebt. WER kann teilnehmen?

... für die fleißigsten SammlerInnen Österreichs: Diese werdennach Ende der Sammelaktion im November ermittelt und erhalten tolle Preise für ihren Eifer.
... für jede teilnehmende Einrichtung: Sie erhalten ein kleines Dankeschön und Ihre Meilen reisen zur UN-Klimakonferenz, wo sie mit Klimaschutzwünschen der Kinder an VertreterInnen des UN-Klimasekretariats übergeben werden.
... für die Gesundheit: Aktive Schul-und Kindergartenwege aktivieren Körper und Gehirn, verbessern die Konzentrationsfähigkeit und wirken sich positiv auf die Stimmung der Kinder aus.
... fürs Klima: Klimafreundlich unterwegs sein –mit eigener Muskelkraft oder im Öffentlichen Verkehr –bedeutet weniger Autos, weniger CO2-Emissionen und ein besseres Klima.

The "Klimameilen"-campaign awakens the joy of climate-friendly mobility in children, parents and educators. WHAT is a Klimameile? A "Klimameile" (climate mile) corresponds to an environmentally friendly distance travelled on the way to school or kindergarten. A sticker is placed in the personal scrapbook for each way without a car. WHO can participate? The campaign is aimed at kindergartens, schools and leisure facilities up to the 5th grade. All information on how to take part is available at: www.klimabuendnis.at/aktuelles/klimameilen-kampagne-2020 WHAT happens with the collected "Klimameilen"? Taking part is worthwhile! ... for the most diligent collectors in Austria: These will be determined after the end of the collection campaign in November and will receive great prizes for their zeal. ... for each participating institution: you will receive a small thank you and your miles will travel to the UN Climate Change Conference, where they will be handed over to representatives of the UN Climate Change Secretariat with the children's climate protection wishes. ... for health: Active school and kindergarten routes activate body and brain, improve the ability to concentrate and have a positive effect on the children's mood. ... for the climate: Being on the road in a climate-friendly way - using your own muscle power or public transport - means fewer cars, less CO2 emissions and a better climate.
