Wir, die Initiative Klimakultur, sehen Kunst und Kultur als entscheidende Möglichkeit des proaktiven Wandels hin zu einer nachhaltigen Gesellschaft. Das Leben in Städten und am Land wird sich ändern. Viele wollen kennenlernen, wie ein gutes Leben von morgen für uns alle aussehen kann. Das hilft, alte Muster abzulegen und Neues zu wagen. Der tiefgreifende Wandel menschlicher Systeme kann nur gemeinsam gelingen – durch das Zusammenspiel von Wirtschaft, Forschung, Kultur, Politik und Öffentlichkeit. Um trotz aller Verschiedenheiten einen gerechten Wandel zu schaffen, braucht es Experimentierräume, in denen mögliche Wege im Kleinen erprobt und schrittweise ins Große gebracht werden. Es gilt, Dinge weiter als das kurzfristig Vorstellbare zu denken und Geschichten zu erzählen, die mitnehmen. Auf unserem Klimakultur-Blog behandeln wir Themen rund um Klimaschutz und Kultur. Wir sind eine selbstorganisierte Gruppe von Menschen aus unterschiedlichsten Bereichen. Nicht immer sind wir uns einig. Wir nutzen die Möglichkeit des Blogs, um miteinander und mit der Leser:innenschaft in Diskussion zu treten und neue Wege für einen nachhaltigen Wandel zu finden.

We, that is the "Initiative Climate Culture", see art and culture as a vital means of enabling a proactive change towards a more sustainable society. Life in cities and in rural areas will change. A lot of people would like to inform themselves about how the 'good life' could look like for all of us. Eventually, this might be a necessary step to get rid of old habits and, instead, be open for new ideas and developments. We are convinced that the profound change of human systems can only be accomplished together - with the economy, scientific research, culture, politics, and society all contributing alike. Despite all the differences within these areas, a room for experimenting is required to create a fair change, to try out possible paths within a smaller setting while already thinking about enhancing these paths, step by step. It goes without saying that we need to think ahead, which is what we would like to achieve through our stories, hoping they are thought-provoking enough to reach and inspire a wider audience. On our klimakultur blog, we particularly address topics that have to do with climate protection and culture. We are a self-organized group of people hailing from different fields of work. We do not always agree on everything - but we do make use of our blog in order to discuss topics within our group and, more importantly, with our readers while keeping in mind our main goal: to find new ways for a sustainable change.
