Wie hängen Kunst und Kultur mit dem Klima zusammen? Und welche Rolle können sie für einen zukunftsfähigen Wandel in Tirol spielen? Zu diesen Fragen organisierte klimakultur.tirol, ein Zusammenschluss mehrerer Tiroler Kultur- und Klimainitiativen sowie Einzelpersonen, am 9. Juli 2021 gemeinsam mit dem Atelier für Zeitreisen das „forum klimakultur 2021“ im Botanischen Garten Innsbruck. Im filmischen Gespräch: der Künstler und Musiker George Steinmann, die Umweltpädagogin Miriam Bahn, der Glaziologe und Klimaforscher Georg Kaser und Moderator Sebastian Possert. Das Forum Klimakultur 2021 zeigt sich in vier Videos zu jeweils ca. 15 Minuten Länge. Im ersten Video geht es um die Relevanz des Klimathemas für den Kunst- und Kulturbereich. Das zweite Video ergründet, wie sich Klimakultur für den Bildungsbereich nutzen lassen könnte, während das dritte Video ebendiese Frage auf Gemeinden umlegt. Das vierte Video dreht sich um Zusammenhänge von Kunst, Kultur und Wissenschaft. Alle 4 Videos sind unter klimakultur.tirol zu finden.

What is the connection between the arts, culture and our climate? How are they interdependent and what role can the cultural sector play in the fight for social and environmental sustainability in Tyrol? These were the questions klimakultur.tirol (a self-organized group of people hailing from different fields of work within a climate-related cultural setting) had in mind when they organised, together with Atelier für Zeitreisen, the "Forum Klimakultur 2021" on July 9th, 2021 at the botanical garden in Innsbruck. Artist and musician George Steinmann, environmental educationalist Miriam Bahn and Georg Kaser, glaciologist and climatologist, were invited to discuss the before-mentioned questions, moderated by Sebastian Possert. There were four videos produced to rewatch the Forum Klimakultur 2021, with a length of approximately 15 minutes per video. The first video discusses the relevance the climate topic has on the arts and culture. The second video tries to fathom how climate culture can be implemented in the educational sector while the third video tries to do the same on a rural level, addressing municipalites in particular. The fourth video is looking to explore the interconnections between the arts, culture and science. All four video can be found on our website, klimakultur.tirol.
