Social Applications for Sustainable Transport

Kurzbeschreibung:
A roundtable discussion on using social applications (social networks, crowd sourced reporting, online games, wikis, and other tools) for helping improve sustainable transport in Vienna.
Beschreibung:
The Atlanta Bike Coalition maintains a seeclickfix website of crowd sourced bike improvements, should we develop a similar system for Vienna? A roundtable discussion on using social applications (social networks, crowd sourced reporting, online games, wikis, and other tools) for helping improve sustainable transport. We’ll start by identifying existing applications and then begin brainstorming ideas for Vienna (and beyond). If there’s interest we’ll organize ourselves to actually develop an application or two. If you have examples you’d like to discuss, please send them to Andy in advance if you can, so they can be added to the introductory power point presentation. The roundtable will be facilitated by Andy Nash, a transport planner living in Vienna. He’s developed two sustainable transport applications: www.greencitystreets.com (public transport game, wiki, reporting system) and www.grr-grr-bike.com (bike game).
